Surname DNA testing is the newest tool available to genealogists. These tests help genealogists verify their paternal ancestry (father's father) in a quick and easy way. It saves time, prevents mistakes, and provides invaluable data that can be obtained in no other way.

This Family Project is started to:

1. Help researchers on common or related families work together to find their common heritage.  (See the Patriarch Page).

2. Identify the DNA of the ancestor families and compile them and their lost branches into distinct genetic lineages through DNA matches

Information from worldfamilies.net  that Terry researchers had submitted to date was moved January 12, 2007 with permission of Terry Barton. If your surname family project would benefit from their six page format I would certainly recommend World Families to anyone.

Family Patriarchs - This is a listing of family pedigrees. If there is a red letter T and a number  this is an indication a male Terry family member or a male Terry representative has submitted a DNA test kit. -- Please send your Terry pedigree to mterry3158@sbcglobal.net for posting. You do not have to test to submit a Terry pedigree.

Genetic Distance - This includes a genetic distance chart which indicates how closely any  two people are related in the study. Explanation of Genetic Distance in 12 Marker Results, 25 Marker Results , 37 Marker Results and 67 Marker Results
Personal Terry Pedigrees Submitted - This file contains information submitted by Terry researchers outlining their ancestors includes birth, death  and marriage information. Includes info submitted to worldfamilies.net prior to January 12, 2007.
Terry Family Pictures - Some researchers have been sending me pictures to see if we might see some similar features among the Terry men. I included some Terry females as well. See if you can match them up to the families of people who have tested.
