Individuals in this group who have DNA tested as of April 25, 2007: T-1 and T-4

These individuals who have tested are linked in some way. At this point documents do not exist to verify the connection. At present, we have 35/37 marker matches which indicates a genetic distance of 2 indicating they are related; T-1 has done a 67 maker test and results are posted. This group is designated haplogroup R1b1.

Note concerning Thomas Terry and Hannah:  Mike, Last night I found the information on Thomas and Hannah Terry. The name Hannah came from The John Crawley Terry Bible.

Copy of Bible records of Terry and Arrington family. These records are documented with DAR papers of Donna Garrett Keith. A copy is also on file at Athens Regional Library. Gen Records Report 1968-1973- DAR collection- properly documented- Copy also on file at State Archives.

Also, the Land Grant was for Hannah Terry in Warren County, District 91. It is dated December 24th 1831. There is a hand written note on the back of this document that states that Hannah never accepted the land but continued to live in Warren County. It also states that the grant was for Thomas Terry's Revolutionary service.

We are still waiting on a full set of dates and places for T-1 for the ancestors of Joseph A. Tarry. T-1 has suggested the name "Crawley" is a surname of interest in these two families.

The FTDNATiP results are based on the mutation rate study presented during the 1st International Conference on Genetic Genealogy, on Oct. 30, 2004. The above probabilities take into consideration the mutation rates for each individual marker being compared.
